Hey guys, thanks for all the comments about my latest song recording. Some feedback that I received was that the recording wasn't very clear and had lots of background noises from the surroundings. So I decided to use a video editor and removed the background noises to make the recording sound cleaner. Also, I've added reverb to the recording to give it the microphone effect. And with my love of doing all my music live in a single take, I just want to make it clear that no autotune or any form of pitch enhancing programs was used to edit the recording. All my recordings are done live with no autotune.

New Song Recording!

It's been quite awhile since I've posted anything related to my music. And I think it's about time I upload a new song that I wrote. This is the longest song I've ever written in terms of lyrics.

Sorry that the quality of this recording is not as good as the ones that we did in the past because obviously I don't have the studio recording equipment in my house. But I'll probably get back in a studio one day to do a proper recording of this song. I recorded myself playing this song live in my room. Do use a earpiece if you can. I hope you guys like it. On a side note, our house renovations are finally completed after almost 2 months and we're very satisfied with all the new designs and changes. :D Here are some photos of my newly renovated room! More photos to come in my next post! :D

Me and Vian celebrated our 1 year anniversary on 21/11/2011! We had a nice steak dinner at "Jack's Place"! Yummy... :D

To Vian: Thank you for all the sacrifices and effort that you had to put into this relationship. I am always thinking of taking huge risks in whatever I do but you always manage to keep both my feet firmly on the ground. Year 2011 has been a really awesome year and so much was accomplished within this short period of time, and I couldn't have done it without you. We're both enjoying a nice cup of finely brewed coffee after having dinner together with my family at Jumbo's seafood restaurant. :)

Heyas peeps! How's it going? Fine for everyone, I hope. :)

Vian and I are doing fine. We have spent the last few weeks catching up with family and friends, establishing new bonds, reaffirming old ones, and attempting to stay warm in the cold weather. We've been shopping for chinese new year stuff too, it was very hectic, but fun as hell. Laughing like crazy as we bought shoes, clothes and groceries. Here are some of our fun moments!

Heyas peeps. :) So a year has passed, and another starting to unfold. It's new year's day today and I had a really great time! First, dinner with Vian and loved ones, before cuddling with Vian in bed watching a movie, while the rain gently drizzles outside our windows... It's the best way to start off the new year... :)

I've been watching quite a number of "average" movies these days. We're gonna watch "Little Fockers" soon, I loved the previous "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers", so I hope the third movie is good! Check back soon to see how it went. :D

Heyas peeps. We were packing our stuff in the jamming room the other day and Amos came across a piece of paper which looked all too familiar. It's the piece of paper on which I first wrote "This Path Alone" more than a year ago. The feeling of nostalgia was kinda overwhelming, and I think it would be a waste to throw it away. Heyas. Sorry for the hiatus that's been going on around here lately. I took a slightly longer honeymoon than expected. ;)

Thank god for friends too, for sending a recording to cover up the lack of music updates on my blog. Shoutouts to charmaine for playing a piano rendition of another one of our songs. She previously did a piano cover of "the winds don't wait for you" which you can check out at the link on the right.

Heyas, as promised to some of you out there, here are the photos of the view from my room window. It's kinda nice to look out your window and not see buildings. I can do whatever I want in my room without worrying that someone might be looking in, if you get what I mean.

It gets really foggy in the morning and it feels as if you're up in the mountains. I don't know if the photos really reflect how beautiful the view is, but someday I'll try to get up even earlier to capture the hazy scenery and then I'll probably post it up here. You can actually click on the photos to enlarge them. :)

Heyas peeps. I bought a set of Martin's nylon guitar strings last week for 16 bucks. They produce a really clean sound which I really liked, and they're supposed to be extra tough. But 1 of the strings broke just after 4 days of playing.

Then I found out that they don't sell individual strings, only in sets. So I'll have to fork out another 16 bucks to buy one more. Just thought I'll share my sadness with you guys. :(

Heyas. It's a beautiful night, and I have time on my hands, so I'll do a little update. :)

First up, reason for the long delay in our new song release is due to certain complications. We've since worked on a different material that I wrote. We spent some time reworking on the chords and the bass line of that new song, and now we're all set. Apologies but I promise it will definitely be out soon within a day or two.

Next, we had already done our guitar picks give away. Don't be upset though if you didn't get it, there will be more.

Heyas. We're in the final phase of soundchecking our equipment right now, so I thought I'll just take the time to type a brief post before our show.

Tonight will most likely be our last show on the big stage. We might do a final ticketed concert towards the end of the year, but all that's depending on whether our attachment schedules would allow it. It's kinda sad really, but we hope that this could be the beginning of something new. When we eventually finish our final year here, that's when we'll really try to take our music careers to the next level.

Heyas peeps. Here's a recording that we did during rehearsals yesterday. It will be the arrangement that we will play at the charity gig.

The whole thing took about 2 months to plan, and only 3 days to execute. It was easy cos Mr. Austin is an amazing musician with perfect timing. We also have great chemistry cos we collaborated before. He also agreed to provide the backup vocals and it was fun singing with him. :D

This time we did the song with the entire band and it was an awesome experience doing it. I also decided to do the vocal solo at the end only. Special thanks to Anne for producing the sound for us.

As the year is starting to slip away, it really feels as if everything happens in fast-forward mode nowadays. I'm trying hard to catch up on the lessons that I missed due to performances at the beginning of the year. It drains me out by the time I reach home at night. I can't remember how many fuckin times in the past week that I fell asleep on the couch while taking off my socks. Then I wake up in the middle of the night wondering what day it is, before crawling my ass into the bathroom to take a cold shower. :(

We've finally started work in the studio today after a month of rest, really missed the smell of the carpet in the jamming room so much. :D I'll also be spending some time producing a song for Rain Day One which I co-wrote with Selina. I've just finished writing the chord melodies for the song and I like what I'm hearing so far. Hopefully, I'll be able to make the final touches to the song in time for them to perform at the charity gig.

As you know, the Doodles will be headlining the upcoming event, thus we're given the longest time slot for our performance set.

I've always supported Holland and club Livepool since I was a kid. I was fascinated by their passionate fans and how they love to entertain the crowd. They play a beautiful game of football and they aren't overly obsessed with winning the game, they just want to play their brand of "Total Football" - and that's what I love about them!

In my years of watching football I've never seen the Dutch get into the World Cup finals. So I'm pretty excited about tonight yeah. :D I personally think that Spain is the stronger team between the two but whether Netherlands win or lose tonight makes no difference to me though, I'll still like them. They already won by making all the way to the finals. Holland and Liverpool for life! :D

Me and winnie are the biggest supporters of Netherlands. :D Come join us at Clarke Quay tonight at 2am to watch the game there! Just look for a group of people wearing orange. :)

I love "Rex" and "Hamm". I think they're awesome. But Rex is slightly more awesome just cos he's a green dinosaur. :) I always laugh at every scene they're in. Just the look on their faces cracks me up everytime. :D

I'll like to take this chance to announce that The Doodles have finally confirmed to headline this year's charity event after much negotiations. For the past few weeks there were some problems during negotiations and we almost pulled out of the show but now we've finally came to an agreement with the organisers. So this means our own ticketed show will be pushed back to probably around August/September because we will be kept very busy rehearsing and preparing for this upcoming charity concert.

Heyas. It's been quite some time since my previous update. The reason why the Doodles haven't been jamming for the past week is cos I needed to spend some time away from music to catch up on my studies and to finish up on late assignments. Glad I'm back on track now, thanks to Winnie, Mei-jie and Kailing for helping me out. :)

I managed to get through an entire week without being late for the first time in human history, and Mdm Wee celebrated the milestone event by treating me to Pizza Hut. I realised that I love spending her money, it creates a false fucking sense of satisfaction, which I like. :D Muahaha. :D

Here's what the Doodles have been up to lately: Chris and I were collaborating with my good friend Selina and her band "Rain Day One". Some weeks ago I wrote 2 new songs for them and last week Chris worked on a more effective bass line for those 2 songs. I have nothing but love for Rain Day One and I hope they will have more and more original songs to play in the future. :)

And now all 5 of the Doodles are back together in the studio again. We still hate each others' guts like always, but it just feels right when we play music together. We've just finished production on a new song which I wrote, and we'll find a good time to showcase it. I still got a couple of pretty good melodies in my head at the moment, and I'm looking forward to filling in lyrics for those melodies.

Also, the Doodles has been contracted to headline this year's charity event. But that will only happen if my overseas attachment schedule doesn't conflict with the concert dates. And hopefully I'll be back in Singapore soon enough to squeeze in at least 2 or 3 rehearsals with the guys before the actual show. This will likely be our last chance to rock the stage in SP since we're in our final year now, so we're planning to tear the place apart. Get ready.

Next, many thanks for all the Post-it notes and nice messages that you guys stick on our jamming room window the past few days. We try to read every single one of them at the best we can. Also special thanks to Yasmeen for the silver ring you gave me. But I don't have a habit of wearing a ring, so I just chained a necklace through it and hung it on the inside of my locker, hope you don't mind. :)

Yesterday I bought a new classical guitar made out of "Rosewood". I bought it cos I love the smell of it; it has a nice wooden fragrance coming from it, and the sound it makes is warm and wholesome. I won't bear to put any stickers on this one.

And since I got myself another new guitar, I decided to give away my old one, as a way of thanking our fans. :) Although it isn't an expensive guitar model, it is the very first guitar that I ever owned, and I wrote many of my earlier songs with it. Me, Eric, Chris, Amos, Kenneth have all signed our autographs on that guitar. :)

So if you are a fan of the Doodles, here's what you can do to get the guitar: Leave a sticker or a Post-It note on our jamming room window with your name and contact number, if you're not comfortable with leaving your contact number, just leave your student ID. Eric will collect all of the notes and pick one with the best message on it, and that person gets the guitar. :) Good luck!

We've also read all your requests for our live shows, and now that we're back in the rockin' mood, we'll be playing a string of small-scale live performances from next week onwards, probably starting with Business campus (cos that's where all the girls are). Song set-list will be constantly changing with each different campus that we play at, but it will be a mixture of old classics with some new songs as well. Check back to this blog this coming weekend for more details. Also, I'm gonna upload a new song recording tomorrow.

Lastly, we wanna thank all our fans for being with us on this journey. Though it's still a long way ahead, we will continue playing the kind of music that we love for as long as there are people who wants to listen. Do support real music peeps. :)

Heyas, it's kel here. Many days of sunshine and pouring rain, and I hope you guys had as wonderful a weekend as I did. I really wanted to do an update on the awesome weekend that I had celebrating one of my friend's birthday, but I'm too caught up with both my music and studies right now so that might have to wait.

Now onto some serious business. As most of you may already know, we sold out the entire Moberly Theatre yesterday in just a few hours since the tickets went on sale (thank you). However, on behalf of the Doodles, we would like to apologize to those who bought tickets to our show but didn't manage to get into the theatre due to overcrowding. It was a logistical error on our part. Because yesterday was the first time we played at that venue, we had no idea how many people the theatre could hold. So in the end we over-printed the amount of tickets and sold them all. Sincere apologies to those who had to stand outside and away from the theatre.

As Eric Koh has mentioned yesterday, we're not trying to make any money off this performance show. After paying off the rent and misc expenses, we still had a profit of $650 from the ticket sales. So we decided to donate all the leftover cash to the "Singapore Children's Society", you can view the donation invoice on our notice board outside our jamming room. It might not be a huge amount of money, but it should be able to get the children some nice clothes or medicine. :)

It's gonna be a crazy week ahead, the Doodles will be playing yet another performance show tomorrow at the graduation ceremony. All the lectures, rushing to rehearsals, and playing 2 live shows all in one week is really taking its toll on my body. But no rehearsal session today though, and I'm so thankful for that. I'm gonna spend the evening later at the beach with my friends. I miss the sound of waves and the gentle breeze blowing on my face. :)

Tomorrow when we play "Whole Lotta Love", we once again pay tribute to the band that has made the biggest impact on my life - Led Zeppelin.

Hey there, this is Eric here. Just needed to announce something about the Doodles here.

For any new students of SP who are reading this blog, since we seldom do introductions during live shows anymore, here's a little introduction of us :) The Doodles consists of:

We understand that not everyone will be allowed into our graduation performance for the Year 3 students, as the event is by-invite only. So, we'll be playing a graduation "pre-show" at Student Hub@Moberly TODAY for the people who weren't invited to the actual show. Heyas peeps. Finally, school starts today. First day of school, so far so good. :D I was late for a bit but the new lecturer didn't notice. :D

Anyways, here's a live recording of an acoustic show that me and chris played for a crowd a couple of weeks ago. "Dreamer's town" is probably the shortest song I've written, it's about an imaginary place where everything is perfect. This song is dedicated to shirley, which I forgot to say it out in front of the crowd that day and got my ass kicked by her.

Heyas peeps! How's the holidays going along? :D As for me, I'm having so much fun! I'm spending the holidays writing music and hanging out with friends. I'm also doing alot of baking and cooking with winnie and the rest. We always cook for each other to eat and also give comments on it, its fun! :D It's also back in the jamming studio for me and the Doodles, it feels good to be busy making music again. I've been working on some new materials and also wrote two new songs for Rain Day One. You will be able to hear them on their upcoming performance at the graduation ceremony. :D

I hope everyone had a great time on April Fools' day. I know I did. What kind of a sick joke did you pull on your friend? :D As for us, we pulled a prank on those who came to watch us rehearse on that day. For those of you who weren't there, let me just elaborate abit on what happened. Basically, we told everyone we were gonna play them a few songs. And I introduced the next song that I was gonna sing as "The Greatest Song Ever Written in Music History". And everyone was like thinking: Is it Stairway to Heaven? Imagine? Bohemian Rhapsody?

So we started playing and it's "When You Look Me in the Eyes" by the Jonas Brothers. It was so hard to keep a straight face throughout the performance but it was funny as hell. :D For those of you who were wondering: did we just put together the whole thing last-minute on that day itself? Yes, the song is easy to play. It's like fucking FOUR power-chords with a very standard bass line and drumming pattern.

Also, thanks for all the sweet paper notes that you guys stick on our jamming room window while my blog was closed. I don't know whose idea was it to stick "Post-it" notes on our windows but we really appreciate all the little messages and we do read every single one of them. Thanks for all the encouragement, and there's also a request from a person who wants to lick and suck on my tongue??? WTF lols, I can think of other parts of my body that you can suck on. ;)

Anyways, here's the song set-list for the upcoming graduation ceremony performance. We always try to make each performance sound as different as possible, so expect totally new arrangements for the songs. The songs are listed in order:

Heyas peeps. It's been awhile since I've done any personal updates here on my blog and so I figured it's about damn time. Since my bedroom is the place I write most of my music, some of you guys wanted to see what it looks like, and so I've posted a photo of it below, including some of the stuff I use to write music with. I've also posted some photos of the studios that me and the Doodles play in. :)

A month has passed since the CnY event concert, and now me and the rest of the band are taking a break from music to catch up on our studies. It feels great to have the entire afternoon to spend with my friends and not having to worry about rushing to session rehearsals.

Last week we gathered our group of close friends and organised a pasta-cooking competition at shirley's house. It was so fucking funny and we laughed till our stomach hurts. :D We had to get our own recipes and cook for the judge (Meiqi) to try. She gave me a C+ grade. -_-'' Yeah thanks alot Mei-jie for ripping my heart out and tearing it into pieces. T_T After cooking we had dinner by eating each other's pasta. winnie will probably update about this in the next post. :)

Meanwhile, I've been writing some new materials which you guys will get to hear pretty soon once I finish working on the guitar chords. So now after a month of rest and study, it's time to get busy again. The Doodles and I will be back in the studio really soon rehearsing again for another upcoming performance. :) Which also brings me to an announcement that eric wants to make:

- The Doodles has been booked to perform at the upcoming graduation ceremony alongside other rock bands (& some hip-hop groups) for the outgoing year 3 students. So for those of you who wants to come and watch us play, check back to this blog soon for more details.

Also, we'll be doing another ticket-performance show like last year's "kEL & eric Live Experience" some time around the month of June or July. We can't do the show any sooner than that due to our conflicting schedules. I'm in Year 3 now and my course attachment requires me to study in an Aerospace training facility in Australia for about 2 weeks. So we can only do the live show around June or July.

Unlike our other performances, you have to pay for a ticket to get into this one. The song set-list consists of my old songs and also includes new songs like "Dreamer's Town" etc. It's gonna be a much bigger one in terms of production value, cos I don't see any point in doing the show on a similar scale as we did last year. However we'll try to keep the ticket prices as low as possible, just enough to pay off the rental equipment and enough for us to earn some money. I'll fill you guys in on the details when the date draws nearer.

Above: During the early phase of our rehearsals for the CnY gig, there was some construction going on above our jamming room and rehearsing in that room was close to impossible. So this was a temporary jamming room that we used instead. As you can see it's quite messy with all the guitars lying around. But it felt really cosy and I loved it. :) After spending a week there, we moved back to our original jamming room. Btw Eric hung up those curtains to prevent you guys from peeping in when we rehearse. So now you know who did it...

Above: Eric Koh's room. Sometimes we would rehearse late into the night and would go to each other's house to practice. We'll always argue whose house to go to, I always want him to come to my house cos I'm lazy to go to his, but he complains that my room has too many "distractions" and he can't concentrate. In the end, we took turns to go to each other's house. RANDOM BEDROOM SECRET EXPOSED: I found a "HELLO KITTY" pillow on his bed.

Above: And finally, this is my room. You can see my bed in the photo. It's the place where I write music, sleep or have sex. You can come lie on it with me if you want to, wearing of clothes is optional. (NOTE: SELECTIVE PERSONNEL ONLY) I currently have a total of 3 guitars. I keep two at home, and I keep another one in school. The one in school has lots of stickers on it.

The guitar that's closer to the camera in this photo is the one that I use to write most of my songs. (this path alone, a simple song, etc.) The other one I broke the strings while writing "You'll Be Alright" about 3 months ago and I haven't got the time to replace it yet. I usually write music very late in the night when it's really peaceful and quiet.

That yellow notebook you see in the photo is where I write all my lyrics. It's nearly full now and so I'll be getting a new notebook pretty soon. Just to share a story with you guys, last September on my birthday, 2 bastard friends of mine (Farris & Mark) played a prank on me by hiding that notebook. They told me it was lost. I was so heartbroken and literally had tears in my eyes. Then when I hit the lowest point in my life, they gave me back that yellow book and yelled "Happy Birthday!" So for revenge, this year I'm planning to kidnap Farris's parents on his birthday and tell him they're dead.

You can also see my 2 favourite super-duper-ultra-comfy green pillows in the photo. I like to hug them all the time when I'm watching tv or sleeping. There's also the wireless keyboard and mouse which I use to play DOTA on my bed when I'm feeling lazy.

That's all for now. It's gonna be a great year ahead with many things to look forward to. This year, we will try to bring our music to the public, get as much exposure as possible and hopefully in the process, score a recording contract. I know alot of you guys had been telling me to go public since last year, and the reason for me not doing so is because I wanted to make sure that my songs are ready before I attempt to start my music career. I have to respect the audience cos they deserve nothing less than my 100% effort and more importantly, I have to respect my own music. And now I feel more ready than ever, just abit more improving on some of my songs and I'm done. It's gonna be really tough, we'll be juggling between our studies and getting our music careers on track. The road is long and winding but it's a pleasure having you guys accompany us along the way. Do support real music, people.

Rain Day One will be jamming at LT3 this afternoon at 5pm with the very talented Eric Koh guest-performing with them on some of the songs. What better way to end the last day of school than to be listening to good music with a group of your best friends? Do go and support them. :)

Guitarists who wishes to learn to play some of the songs that I wrote, you can stay behind after the gig. Eric and Chris will there to teach you how to play. Bring along your own guitar, plus a notebook and a pen to write down the chords/guitar tabs.

Aftermath.

I'm really tired right now so just a quick one yeah.

Yesterday was a huge success. I hoped you had as much fun as we did entertaining you. Anyways, just a quick shout-out to some people that the Doodles would like to thank for making the event possible:

-Amy and the rest of the dressing room crew: thanks for fussing us around the entire evening and treating us like royalty.

-The sound crew (adam, jason etc.): thanks for helping out on the live sound mixing and with our stage equipment. The sound output was spot-on yesterday night and we recorded some of the best live versions of our performances ever.

-Mr. Austin: for musical collaborations during rehearsal sessions.

-Robin: he's responsible for most of the artwork that you saw flashed on the big screens during our performance of "Stairway to Heaven".

-Janice Liew: thanks for being so patient with us during the interview. we had like 20 NGs during the interview cos we would accidentally utter some vulgarities and we had to start over. She also directed the short video clip that you saw during our performance of "Jean Outta City". The guy who acted as the driver in that video is actually her boyfriend. :)

Anyways, yesterday after the gig, some hot girls approached me and Amos backstage. One of them said she had a big surprise for me. I was about to take off my pants cos I thought she meant sex, but apparently she's not. She then gave me a bag inside containing something thats probably close to having sex. Being the fucking show-off that I am, I had to show you guys what it is. She bought me a 1977 LED ZEPPELIN T-SHIRT!

She knows I love Led Zeppelin but she couldn't find the band's T-shirt anywhere in Singapore, so she went online and bought one for me. She had it shipped to Singapore last week but waited till yesterday before giving it to me. I totally melted. In return, I told her that she could have anything she wanted from me, or she could do anything to me. So then she said she wanted an autograph and a hug from me. Zzzzzzzz. I could have given her so... much... more...

Okaes all jokes aside, thank you so much Angela for the T-shirt, really. :D I love it so much. :) And my apologies to the rest of your friends for not being able to play you all a song as requested cos my throat was terribly sore after the gig and I didn't have my guitar with me at that time.

Here's a little update on the upcoming CnY gig next week. We have made up our minds on our song setlist that day:

-A special collaboration with "Rain Day One"

It will all be fast-paced rock songs with no acoustics, except for "Run Like It Doesn't Matter" and the last one....

I've been receiving gifts from you guys since last week and I really appreciate them. I can't eat the chocolates yet cos I need to save my voice, but I'll keep em till after the gig then I'll eat them. :) Special shout-out to "xiao hui" for giving me a "Led Zeppelin IV" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. I can't really understand the chinese words that you wrote on the card but thank you so much. :D And for the person who bought me a monopoly board game, LOL??? But we did spend an hour playing it though, until kenneth decided to be an asshole and messed up the game. Also thanks so much for the bottles of herbal tea and boxes of chicken essence. And I read all the cards that I received already, thanks for all the sweet messages. :) I haven't unwrapped everything yet but I'll post it in my next update if I find anything interesting. :)

Oh and by the way, the Doodles have been issued an official WARNING LETTER by the SAC to inform us that if we utter any vulgarities on stage that day, we will be fined anywhere between $50 - $200. We are the only band to be issued that warning letter. So now its a decision between being myself on stage or losing $200. Too bad for them, we've got $200 to spare, no problem. So I'm gonna say whatever I want on stage and if they really do fine us, we'll boycott their future events and never play for them again.

Heyas peeps. :D Firstly, thanks alot to Mandy from Business Finance course for taking the time to do the blog picture above. :D Me and kenneth were taking a break from rehearsals awhile ago when she came up to us and showed us the picture. It does look alot like us, and I love my tongue thingy. :P On behalf of the rest, thank you Mandy! :D

Secondly, really sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry Selina for not turning up at your band's performance yesterday! T_T I was held up by another commitment and so I couldn't come. I promise I'll come to your next one alrights? :)

Anyways, just to share abit on what's been going on in my life lately. :) Me and the Doodles are working really hard these few weeks to practice and rehearse our set over and over again to make sure we don't fuck up my newer songs at the upcoming CnY concert. It's band practice 4 days a week, 5 hours a session! I'm really tired right now both mentally and physically. I can't wait for tomorrow when it'll be Friday which means... weekend yays! :D

Aside from rehearsing for the concert, I'm trying my fucking best to juggle between my music and school work. I'm currently working on some new materials, as I keep a constant habit of writing up songs no matter how busy I am. I listened through all my recordings and found some really interesting songs that I wrote last year but decided to drop them because I got negative comments from my friends. :( Remember "Bloody Mary"??? People who heard that song before would know what I'm talking about. :D

But fuck it, I think it'll be interesting if I just upload them up here anyway. So check back soon! :D

Strawberry Fields Forever! - Happy Birthday Brendon!

(Here's a really beautiful tune by John Lennon. Pay special attention to the intense guitar work by Eric Koh in this recording. The guitar picking and solo at the end is phenomenal. I decided to do this song because it's very "John". The song contains his styles of writing music: It sounds weird at certain points but somehow it transcends into a beautiful melody, it doesn't make any fucking sense and the lyrics are simple.

It was my dream to do a cover of this song but at first I didn't know how to approach the song. I didn't want to do an exact copy of the song. Then I remembered one day I walked into the studio and saw Eric playing a tune by the corner. I asked what was it, and he told me he's working on an arrangement for "Strawberry Fields Forever". I immediately said: "Let's do it!"

After working on it for another few hours or so, we're set. We played this song for the first time in front of a live audience, it wasn't the best we played, but it felt awesome.)

Good day. It's the holidays and I'm finally free enough to do an update here. Lots of shit happened in the past few weeks but I'm not gonna say it here.

"The Kel & Eric Live Experience" - Wish You Were Here.

This was recorded live at my ticketed concert back in October. I have been pestered and even received death threats from my classmates to upload this but I have been just too busy lately to do it. I would like to thank my team of 22 students from SAC which consisted of sound men, lighting, and ushers who made the event possible. I hope you guys like the treat me and eric paid for after the concert that night. :) I would also like to thank Mr. Austin (Drama and Theatrics course) for taking the time off to make a guest appearance at my concert and providing the rhythm guitar.

We spent a total of 2 months preparing for this song, the longest we took for any song. I remembered the first time I heard this song, I thought it sounded easy to sing. I couldn't be more wrong. It was one of the hardest songs I ever performed due to its complexities. To sing and show the emotions that David Gilmour felt was a challenge for me, and I took up the challenge.

I remembered I was very emotional when I performed this song that night. I had so many things going through my mind. I sang it with all my heart and soul. There was nothing more I could give into this song. It was painful to perform because I remembered I had a big quarrel with one of my brothers the first time I sang this and I wished he was there to watch me.

This will probably be the last time you will ever hear me sing this song. I realised each time I perform this song, I will lose someone I care about so much.

I'm not gonna take that risk again. This song is dedicated to the same person I always dedicate this song to.

Heyas peeps. :D More people came up to our lecture theatre today and gave me artworks of their impressions of Jean in "Jean Outta City". Thank you all so much for loving Jean as much as I do. I remembered just 6 months ago, I was sitting in a quiet corner of our jamming studio writing this song about Jean and her life, trying to put together the story of her life, wondering if people would actually like this song. And fast forward to now, people are spending precious time drawing pictures of Jean, asking and discussing about her, approaching Eric Koh for the chords to this song etc. All this while Jean is not even a real person at all. Once again, thank you guys so much, it's been incredible. :)
